Ultrasound in Černý Most, Prague
Ultrasound is by appointment only, and you get your result right after the examination. We recommend booking online, where you can see all available times and choose the one that suits you.
What we examine
We use a VINNO ultrasound scanner. Examinations are performed by MUDr. Landová.
- whole abdomen – liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, bladder,
- upper abdomen – liver, gallbladder,
- lower abdomen – pelvis, bladder,
- kidneys,
- neck – thyroid, lymph nodes,
- armpits, groin, abdominal wall and hernias,
- lymph nodes, lumps, lipomas and cysts.
We do not perform elastography or ultrasound of the breasts, joints, tendons, muscles, arteries, carotid arteries or scrotum.
How to book
We only see patients with an appointment. The easiest way is to book online via Reservio, where you can see all available times. You can also book by phone during opening hours on 607 862 777 or 281 918 855. Ultrasound examinations: Mon–Fri 8:00–12:00.
How to prepare
- Whole abdomen
- 2 hours before the examination, don't eat, chew gum or smoke. 1 hour before, drink 0.5 litres of plain still, unsweetened water and then don't empty your bladder.
- Upper abdomen, liver, gallbladder
- 2 hours before the examination, don't eat, drink, chew gum or smoke.
- Lower abdomen, pelvis, bladder
- 1 hour before the examination, drink 0.5 litres of plain still, unsweetened water and then don't empty your bladder. Your bladder needs to be full.
- Kidneys
- No preparation needed.
- Neck, thyroid, lymph nodes
- No preparation needed. Please take off any necklace.
- Armpits, groin, abdominal wall, hernia
- No preparation needed. Don't use antiperspirant before an armpit examination.
- Lymph nodes, lumps, lipomas, cysts
- No preparation needed.
How the examination works
You lie down on the couch and uncover the area being examined. The doctor applies gel to the skin and moves the ultrasound probe over it. The examination is painless and involves no radiation, so it can be safely repeated. You get the result right after the examination.
Ultrasound for children
We examine children from 3 years of age and calmly explain everything so they are not afraid.
What to bring
- A referral from your doctor (žádanka). Without one, you pay for the examination yourself at our contract prices.
- Your Czech health insurance card.
- Cash only if you pay for the examination yourself. We do not accept cards.
Insurance and payment
We have contracts with VZP (111), VoZP (201), ČPZP (205), OZP (207) and ZP MV ČR (211). With other insurers you pay on site according to the Ministry of Health price list.
